About This Coffee

We love Brazilian coffee. Not everybody loves Brazilian coffee, but we do. Why? Well, more often than not Brazilian coffees are sweet, have a soft acidity and a delicious combination of chocolate, nut and dried fruit notes. For some people, this is all too safe, but we couldn’t think of a better coffee for a Sunday morning Cafetière. The generally low growing altitudes in Brazil contribute to a silky, and buttery texture and this coffee is no exception. It’s great with or without milk, and a spoon of sugar won’t kill it.

This coffee is straight-up chocolate, Brazil nuts and raisins. With milk, there is a distinct Nice biscuit character in the cup. This coffee is produced on a farm called Paraiso (Fazenda is Portuguese for farm) by a fantastic producer called Guy Carvalho. We’ve bought coffee from Guy for years and his coffees are always super consistent and delicious. This is because Guy is an agronomist by trade and is very involved in the cultivation, harvesting and modern processing of his coffees. With his passion for agronomy, Guy is invested in producing coffee in a socially and environmentally sustainable way.
