This coffee is so clean, almost effervescent with subtle lemongrass, blueberry and fresh apple notes. With milk, it doesn’t make any single flavour note better but it certainly doesn’t ruin it either, so it can take a splash if you fancy it.

About This Coffee

When a coffee arrives at the roastery in a vacuum sealed bag, you know you’re in for a treat. In a year of crazy anaerobic fermented, thermic shock, yeast inoculated Colombian coffees this washed Pacamara might seem a little safe. Don’t worry though, it’s not. It’s very special. This coffee is produced by Café Granja La Esperanza who have achieved almost legendary status in recent years, producing some of the highest scoring and most revered coffees in the world.

This coffee is grown on one of Cafe Granja’s five farms called Las Margaritas. This farm is known to the workers as ‘garden of varieties’, and has built a reputation for producing competition winning coffees.

The Pacamara variety is typically known for being a much bigger bean with a low density. They’re a pain in the butt to roast as they need a lot of heat, and they can be an even bigger pain to brew as they can lack solubility (if they’ve been roasted badly). Lucky for you we know what we’re doing.
