Espresso Beans 1kg

Colombia is churning out banger after banger this year and this is no exception! This coffee is SO fruity, like your favourite pick n’ mix, rolled into one mind-blowing flavour bomb. You can expect a real hit of strawberry, with an Apple Sourz tartness (thankfully, minus the hangover), this might set your jets going but don’t worry, it’s perfectly balanced with a delicious sweetness. It can handle a little bit of milk and reminds us of a Big Red.

About This Coffee

Oh boy, Colombia is killing it this year. They are churning out banger, after banger. Just when we think it’s peaked, another gem is pulled from the hat. This is that gem. Before we jump into the absolute mind-blowing taste of this coffee, let’s talk about the farm where it was produced.

The story of this farm is pretty incredible and is a shining example of how modern-day speciality coffee is helping to improve and shape lives. José Arboleda and Elvia Ramirez purchased their first farm in 1974 and quickly discovered that the demand for their coffees outweighed their ability to produce them. So, they purchased a second farm and then outgrew that. So they bought another farm, and then another. You see the pattern here. Today, Finca Los Alpes is a coffee producing company with 10 farms, a roastery and a trading office. An entrepreneurial growth that has spanned 45 years, and supported generations of families.

This coffee has so much going for it and we’re honestly a little bit obsessed. It’s SO fruity, like all your favourite pick n’ mix, rolled into one mind-blowing flavour bomb. There is a real hit of strawberry, with an Apple Sourz tartness (thankfully, minus the hangover), this might set your jets going but don’t worry, it’s perfectly balanced with a delicious sweetness. There is also dried tropical fruit notes running throughout. It can handle a little bit of milk and reminded us of a Big Red, remember those? Probably not, because you weren’t alive in 80s America.
