If you love the Guji in our core range then you’ll love this. This coffee is still unique and special enough to set itself apart from the other two Ethiopian coffees we have online. It’s got that classic Ethiopian tea-like body and arguably has a more tea-like body, than tea itself. Impressive. There’s so much more to it though. Interwoven are notes of lime, jasmine, Bergamot, blood orange and 70% dark chocolate. It’s ok with milk but some of the delicate notes are lost.

You’ve probably heard the word “Guji” before – it’s a popular region in Ethiopia which produces characterful, vivid and often outstanding coffees. We already have a great naturally processed Guji coffee in our core range, but this fully washed treat is unique and special enough for a limited release.
This coffee is produced by Tima farmer group. The group is composed of producers living and farming in Tima, a subdivision located in Guji’s Shakiso district. The varieties selected are a combination of local landraces (traditional crop varieties cultivated in specific locations) and JARC (varieties developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre). Farming methods in the region remain largely traditional and much of the harvesting and processing is done by hand.
Is it possible for this coffee to have tricked us, and it’s in fact a cup of tea? It’s not April yet, so it seems pretty unlikely. Ethiopian coffees very often have a tea-like body but this coffee is a tea-fest through and through. Have we mentioned it tastes like tea? There’s more to it though. Interwoven are notes of lime, jasmine, Bergamot, blood orange and 70% dark chocolate. It’s ok with milk but many of the delicate notes are lost, so we recommend you keep it black.
