If we had to have a Myanmar coffee in our core range, this would be it! It’s absolutely caked in apple and grape notes. There’s quite a high acidity that is complemented by a good amount of sweetness. It has a tea-like quality and a sort of black tea dryness. With milk, the character is muted a bit and it becomes like an apple and blackberry crumble.
FILTER ROAST: The filter roast has a crisper apple note.
ESPRESSO ROAST: The blackberry note is heavier as an espresso roast.

If we had to have a Myanmar coffee in our core range, this would be the one for us. This coffee was the first Curious release back in 2020 and we’ve selected it again! We love a bit of consistency. We looked back on the flavour notes of the first release and they are pretty much the same, word for word. That’s the kind of consistency we like.
Myanmar possesses the largest expanse of tropical forest in mainland Southeast Asia with substantial biodiversity. Harbouring rare species such as the red panda and the Myanmar snub-nosed monkey. This coffee was grown in the Shan hills which stretch into growing regions in Yunnan, China (where one of our recent releases was sourced from) and Thailand.
U Sai Wan operates Green Land Estate with his uncle, aunt, two local agronomists and many local workers. He has conducted experiments on the farm with different spacing, shade tree species, varieties and fertilisation. U Sai Wan is currently one of fewer than 20 certified Q Arabica Graders in the country.

It has a sort of black tea dryness which we can best describe as the tannin you get in tea. It’s pleasant with milk but the character is muted and it becomes like an apple and blackberry crumble.
