This is quite seriously the highlight coffee of the year for us (so far) and we’re not just saying that. It’s so juicy! There are knock out notes of candied citrus and more specifically dried orange, with a cloudy lemonade hit. It’s also great with milk!

About This Coffee

All aboard the Peru train, it’s about to get interesting! We’re slowly seeing more and more Peruvian coffees land in the roastery and we’re not exactly unhappy about it.

This coffee comes from a region of Peru where different elevations create a diversity of microclimates. The last coffee we had from Peru actually came from the same region and there is a big difference in taste and terroir between the two. This coffee is named after a local waterfall “Velo De Novia”, meaning “veil” because where the water falls, it creates a shape of a bride’s veil. Google it and you’ll see what we’re on about.

Let’s get into what this coffee tastes like. It’s the best coffee ever. Like, seriously. It’s the highlight coffee of the year for us so far and we can’t get enough of it. It’s more juicy than juice itself and it’s more complex than Boris Johnson’s social calendar during lockdown. How? We have no idea, it just is. There’s definitely a candied citrus thing going on, complemented by a cloudy lemonade note. It’s also a banger with milk, and as an espresso based drink with milk – the acidity remains in the cup which is super rare. It actually blew our socks off!
