We really believe these kinds of coffees are the backbone of speciality coffee. Grown by farmers who’ve been doing it right for decades – on small farms in quiet corners of the world, no marketing fluff or PR teams. Just high-quality coffee grown in harmony with nature.
This one comes from the volcanic soils of San Agustín, Huila – near the birthplace of Colombia’s great rivers. It tells the story of a region shaped by nature, heritage and quiet dedication. Los Naranjos isn’t just delicious – it’s a community-led coffee movement. Started in 2006 by a group of producers from Llanada Naranjos to showcase the quality of their coffee, it’s since grown into a collective effort involving dozens of smallholders across San Agustín.
The producers here are mostly smallholders – farming 1–5 hectares on average – many of them second or third generation. They’ve inherited more than land. They carry a legacy of knowledge, now sharpened through hands-on support from PECA agronomists who help fine-tune everything from harvest timing to drying.
All of that care results in a balanced, tasty cup. There’s a gentle, juicy acidity running through it – red berries, a touch of citrus – before it rounds out into smooth dark caramel and chocolate on the finish. It’s incredibly moreish. And yes, it’s a winner with milk.
