We are a small, independent coffee roastery dedicated to making speciality coffee more accessible. Five years in, we’re still in our infancy, but we have big aspirations. We already supply some of the best national retailers such as Waitrose, Holland & Barrett and Ocado, as well as numerous independent retailers and cafes, and we’re not stopping there. We’re here to open up the speciality coffee market and recruit new customers with our mix of strong branding and vivid, characterful coffees.

It’s time for us to take a leap forward with our marketing and we’re looking for a really talented coffee lover who is dynamic enough to take on and own the entire marketing function of Roastworks. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who enjoys the challenge of managing their own time, having creative freedom and taking ownership of an entire division of a growing and visually engaging brand. This is a multi-faceted role comprising of photography, design, events, copywriting and traditional marketing strategy and planning.

So, what exactly are we looking for? Don’t know what the effect of aperture is on depth of field? Jog on. Get “to” and “too” mixed up? Confused about “your” and “you’re”? There’s the door. Don’t know what a layer mask does in Photoshop? This isn’t for you. Our marketing relies on a high level of technical product knowledge, so you’ll be into coffee and be willing to learn. Working to a high quality is a prerequisite, especially as we’re competing on an international level with the best of them.

Skills: Effortlessly creative, visually aware, an interest in coffee, good at copywriting, diligent, has an eye for detail, understands design, organised, is a competent photographer. Has a good working knowledge of; Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, social media scheduling software.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Plan, deliver and manage bold, engaging and on-brand content for all social media channels (visual and written).

· Plan, deliver and manage engaging and effective email marketing campaigns.

· Organise and run shows and events from local cuppings to national trade shows.

· Plan and create engaging and informative blog content.

· Manage e-commerce merchandising.

· Design and deliver POS and promotional printed collateral.

· Liaise with external SEO and PR agencies.
