We were pretty excited when we heard that the ludicrously talented (and frankly lovely) folk behind No Guts No Glory were opening a second site; NGNG has been our go-to destination for house plants and greeting cards since they opened. We’ve always enjoyed flicking through their collection of interesting books and art prints before wandering down Fore Street to grab a pizza from The Flat or a coffee from Camper Coffee. Well, now there’s a new kid on the block. Sacred Grounds is the new vegan food and coffee spot in McCoys Arcade (to replace Camper Coffee) and we’re absolutely thrilled to be working with them.
When we heard Hayley, Nathan and Becca’s new venture will be a coffee and brunch spot we knew we wanted to work with them. This talented team do things properly and we have a lot of time for their style and approach. Using a local and independent roastery was important to them, so was having a completely plant-based offering. They’ll be serving our killer house blend, The Truth, with Oatly plant-based milk… winning! Kitted out with hanging plants, exposed brick walls and retro furniture, we can’t wait to hang out here on the weekends.
Officially launching on Tuesday 2nd October, they’re offering 20% off for the first fortnight, so be sure make your way through their delicious food menu and taste our coffee in Exeter’s newest place to be.
A SIDE NOTE ON FORE STREET
Exeter’s Fore Street is changing, in fact it has been for a couple for years. We’re seeing a shift in the type of retailer and consumer that wanders its pavements. It’s got a name for itself as Exeter’s independent quarter and we love some of the indie stores and businesses that occupy it including our friends and colleagues at The Roots Foundation, Illicit Web Design, The Click Hub, Hops & Crafts and Sanchos.
