Christmas Coffee

Uganda Rwenzori Mountains

£18.00

["Kirsch","dark chocolate","candied orange"]

Our festive coffee has landed, which can only mean one thing. Christmas is officially here! This is our chosen festive lot and it brings everything we look for at this time of year. It’s a proper seasonal punch in the face. Dark chocolate, Kirsch, clove and candied orange peel. As it cools, it shifts into full chocolate truffle mode with cocoa dust vibes and it absolutely slaps. It makes a cracking flat white and works just as well on filter. A real Christmas morning crowd pleaser. Packed into a lovely amber glass jar with stunning labels, this will make an amazing present. We have a limited amount of this coffee, so bag yourself (or someone you love) a treat before it's gone. This is an omni-roast, so suitable for all brew methods. *Please note, discounts are not valid for use on this product.

STORY

Uganda is a magical country. But the Rwenzori Mountains? Even more so. We travelled there in 2022 for an unforgettable coffee trip and you can watch the video from that journey here.

We were hosted by Omwani, our sourcing partners in the region. They work closely with Agri Evolve, the heart of high quality coffee processing in the Rwenzori Mountains. Agri Evolve is a profit for purpose organisation supporting thousands of smallholder farmers with fair prices, hands on training and proper processing infrastructure. Their work has lifted quality, strengthened incomes and brought long term stability to communities across the mountains.

From new washing stations to shade tree planting and energy saving stoves, they’re building a landscape where brilliant coffee and healthy ecosystems sit side by side. This lot exists because of that shared graft.

FAQ’S

THINGS PEOPLE ASK US

IS YOUR PACKAGING RECYCLABLE?

Our 200g and 1kg bags are made from recyclable LDPE (plastic #4). Check with your local authority for kerbside collection or recycle at major supermarkets. Our Nespresso-compatible aluminium capsules are also fully recyclable through household recycling or local collection points.

WHAT ROAST LEVELS ARE YOUR COFFEES?

We roast most coffee to an omni profile, which means it suits all brew methods while keeping the unique flavour of each coffee. The exceptions are The Truth, Uprising and The Bold. The Truth and Uprising are roasted for espresso, so they are more developed and soluble. The Bold is roasted darker to bring out richer characteristics alongside the coffee’s flavour.

WHAT GRIND SIZE DO YOU NEED?

Grind size can be tricky as adjusting it helps you get the best extraction. We know not everyone wants to invest in a grinder or fuss with settings. So we’ve simplified options with recommended brew methods:

Filter ground – cafetiere, pour-over filter and long brewed Aeropress
Espresso ground – short brewed Aeropress, moka pot and home espresso machines
