This has everything you want from a Kenyan coffee: high acidity, fruit-forward and punchy. It’s a blend of SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian, roasted light and fast to bring out that classic Kenyan vibrancy. Expect red and purple fruits, zingy acidity and a creamy mouthfeel.
We first came across this Kenyan at a Nordic Approach cupping in London. One sip and we knew it had to be part of our limited release range.
Kamagogo is one of four coffee processing stations operated by the Kiru Farmers’ Cooperative Society, which collectively serves about 3,500 farmers.
Sustainability is a key focus, with soak pits positioned away from water sources and initiatives encouraging tree planting on farms. In addition to coffee, members also cultivate macadamia, maize, bananas, beans and tea.
Farmers benefit from demonstration plots and regular training sessions supported by Coffee Management Services (CMS), which also provides pre-financing for farm inputs and education fees.
